Did Stalin act badly or was it more inappropriately when he authorized the slaughtering of many thousands of Russian citizens?

Appropriately and inappropriately don’t always cut it do they?

Why utter these phrases?

Why be so indirect?

There is one stage to go in the Sheffield Streetscape.

We put it off this year mainly due to money going to flood damage instead.

The old palm next to Sheffield Hotel has been dead for a while.

It has recently been removed.

I have seem numerous people “water” it regularly.

You don’t need to be a Catholic to be awed by the Vatican. It is an historical site where the disciple Peter according to tradition was crucified.

There was also a chariot racing track there in the past I think before the Circus Maximus was set up. They used to race around the Egyptian Obelisk.

The scale of the Vatican is mind blowing. A massive church. I went underground into the burial chambers of past popes.

I found it a bit strange seeing nuns texting inside St Peters but there you go. Technology.

A few years ago council considered moving the memorial. It went down pretty bad with a few people. There was a great concern that it would break up.

Anyway we decided against it. Good move.

The Wilmot Cemetery and transfer station are close to each other. Too close in some ways. The transfer station looks unsightly from the cemetery.

Some locals have asked for numerous years for a tree screen of some sort to be planted to shield the view.

It has never happened. I am on to it now and will follow through. I am sorry it has taken so long.

Biased of course but give me Mount Roland over Cradle Mountain any day.
