		<description>Hello Tim.
There perhaps is not much gained by way of supportive value from the community for the role of being a councilor or at least that is what I am interpreting from some of your writings.
Reading some of your comments here I can say that I have considered running for this election given the discriminatory policies or more correctly stated the attitudes of ignorance that discriminate against a portion of the owners of the municipality as to the requirements set down by Council for their contributions (RATES) to the collective purse. These can dramatically exceed demands made on others, and often those paying the lesser rate gain more of the collective benefit.
This Council FAILS to provide social equity.
Alas I cannot give up a large proportion of my income to seek election, at least at this time. Maybe I will not in the future either if those formerly against amalgamation are now beginning to change their opinions because they see the incredible discrimination against a significant percentage of the population particularly farmers.
I have seen no proposition from any of the councilors as yet to advocate and drive for a flat rate model for RATES. This is the only socially equitable way forward, while acknowledging perhaps a need for some social adjustments.
I am not impressed by the extravagant waste of funds by Councils incompetent fiscal management.

When people ask me who should they vote for and I cannot see any worthwhile competent candidate standing up, it is a sad thing, it is even sadder that they don’t know or care about what is wrong with the system they would like us all to support.
